From the Old Testament
David heard of Saul's death. He did not rejoice in Saul's death. He knew that God would take care of Saul in his own time. We should leave vengeance to God but pray for our enemies.
David waited forty years before he became king, although he was annointed by Samuel. We should learn to wait upon the Lord, His timing is perfect.

From the New Testament
Jesus predicted His death. The death of one causes the new lives of billions of people. The law of paradox takes place and should be evident in our lives. We need to lose our lives to gain it, the first must be last, etc..
The Jews had Jesus among them yet they had unbelief. Let us be careful that we have the Gospel and we must believe.

From Psalms and Proverbs
God has made His light shine among us and reveal Himself to us. We must rejoice and praise Him.

Proverbs
We must look to the needs of others and not for ourselves.
