From the Old Testament
Actually not much was said about the failure of Samuel as a prophet or as a human being!! He was not afraid of Saul and rebuked him when appropriate.

From the New Testament
Jesus was not influenced by the words of his brothers, nor of people's opinion of him especially his enemies. He spoke openly in the temple. Jesus claimed that the authority that he had came from God and not men.

From Psalms and Proverbs
David express his confidence in God. In whom or what do you lay your confidence in?

In Proverbs, be careful with your tongue, it can build up or destroy.
