Leviticus 24.1-4 speaks about the lamp and oil. This reminds of Jesus who is the Light of the world. He is also the Bread of Life (v.5-9). We do not realize how serious blasphemy is much less murder. God wants to warn the people of the consequences of blasphemy and murder.

Leviticus 25 speak of the feast days, namely the sabbath year, the year of the Jubilee where all debts are paid. Jesus is typified as our Redeemer in the Year of the Jubilee when all debts are paid.

Mark 10.13-31 passage spoke of that we should be like children with a child-like faith. The rich young ruler was a remarkabe young man who was sincere in his life but he did lack the one thing, he loved money!!

Psalm 44.9-26 show God as turning His back on the Israelites. It is horrible when God does not answer our prayers or is not in our lives.

Proverbs 10.20-21
The tongue cab be beneficial or it can be destructive.

Post a comment if something from today's passage spoke to you.

Leviticus 19 is a description of various laws that the Israelites should obey. The whole rationale is that God is a holy God and if we claimed to be Christians, we should be a holy people. Without laws, there would be anarchy in the soceity, family and the church.

Leviticus 20 speak of punishment for sins. We reap what we sow!! The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.

Mark 11 passage spoKe of the Yeast of the Pharisees and Herod (v. 14-21) Beware of hypocrisy in the church among religious people and among ourselves!!
The blind man was healed at Bethsaida (v. 22-26) because some people brought him to Jesus. We need to bring people to Jesus for healing whether it is spiritual or physical.
Peter confessed Jesus as the Christ(v.27-30). The only reason Peter knew this was it was reveled to him by the Holy Spirit. Jesus predicted His death and resurrection (v. 8.31-9.1) Peter turned around and rebuked Him. Jesus rebuked Peter! He gave Him the law of Paradox. You want to save your life, then you must lose it!!

Psalm 42 is a psalm of David. Despite his sorrow and distress, he found his hope in God. What dou you put your hope in?

Proverbs 10.17
We avoid discipline and correction in our lives like the plague!! We would rather have the easy way out in life.
